WINTER NAMM SHOW, ANAHEIM, CA, January 19, 2006 — Webster Hall, one of the most established music and dance venues in the country and a New York City cultural and architectural landmark, has purchased and installed five new Denon DN-D6000 Professional Dual CD/MP3 Players. Each of the venue’s four clubrooms and its grand ballroom has had its DJ booth enhanced with the installation of a DN-D6000 unit, which replaces the Denon
DN-2600F the club has long used.

“The 2600 was the industry standard for a long time, and now the DN-D6000 has become the new one,” says Paul Bell, Senior Sound Technician for Webster Hall and Owner of PBell Sound, a Belrose Manor, NY sound system design, installation and maintenance company. Bell, who has been maintaining and incrementally upgrading the venue’s sound system for four years, describes the renowned venue’s sound as a “magnificent work in progress.” The Denon DN-D6000 was a logical choice for updating the club’s DJ booths, he says. “Denon is our preferred CD player, and the D6000 improves upon the already great 2600F. Its performance is excellent and we appreciate the fact that it’s flash-updatable — we can just go to the website and download the latest software for it. Also, DJs like it because it was designed to emulate the 2600F and therefore the learning curve is a snap.”

Bell has installed 18 of the Denon DN-D6000 units since it became available earlier this year, underscoring the industry’s eager acceptance of the DN-D6000 as the new industry standard for dual-CD players. “The sound is great and the reliability is better than that of any other brand,” says Bell. “When it comes to dual-CD units, there’s nothing else on the market that comes close.”
