AUDIO-TECHNICA ENDORSERS LOS LONELY BOYS, HILARY DUFF AND KENNY CHESNEY
SHINE AT THE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
STOW, OH, December 6, 2005 — Audio-Technica remains the
microphone of choice for high-profile awards shows as seen on the recent
ABC televised broadcast of the 33rd annual American Music Awards, held
this year on November 22nd at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
A-T endorsers Los Lonely Boys, Hilary Duff and Kenny Chesney gave dramatic
performances using a wide selection of Audio-Technica wired and wireless
microphones. Created by Dick Clark in 1973, the American Music Awards
honor achievements in popular music and the recording business. Cedric
the Entertainer was the master of ceremonies and performers included
Kenny Chesney, Hilary Duff, Los Lonely Boys, The Rolling Stones, Mariah
Carey, Gwen Stefani, Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas, Sheryl Crow,
Lindsay Lohan, Santana, Ashanti, Bow Wow, Cyndi Lauper, The Eurythmics,
Sarah McLachlan, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban.
A broad range of Audio-Technica microphones were utilized during the
show with performances from A-T endorsers Los Lonely Boys, featuring
Henry Garza on guitar and vocals using Audio-Technica’s Artist
Elite® 5000 Series Wireless System with the AEW-T5400 handheld microphone/transmitter;
Hilary Duff using the Artist Elite 5000 Series Wireless System with
the AEW-T6100 handheld microphone/transmitter; and last year’s
CMA Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney, using the Artist Elite 5000
Series UHF Wireless System with the AEW-T3300 microphone/transmitter
and AEW-R5200 true diversity frequency-agile dual receiver.
