RESPONDS TO THE NEEDS OF THE AUDIO COMMUNITY

WINTER NAMM SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January 20, 2005 — Audio-Technica
U.S., Inc., a leading microphone manufacturer, announces the formation
of a new department within the company — the Audio Solutions Department.
Dedicated to supporting the company slogan, “Always Listening,”
the Audio Solutions Department will focus on the informational needs
of Audio-Technica’s internal and external public, acting as the
first point of contact for A-T’s staff, reps, dealers and end
users seeking clear technical or product advice and application assistance.
In addition to phone and email consultation, online resources will be
developed as readily accessible knowledge banks — offering easy-to-use,
dependable tools for anyone working in the audio industry. The department
will also supply Audio-Technica’s R & D Department with additional
feedback directly from the field to identify and address emerging market
trends and business opportunities. The Audio Solutions announcement
was made by Philip Cajka, Audio-Technica President and CEO, and further
underscores A-T’s ongoing commitment to providing customers with
the highest quality information and service in a timely, reliable fashion.
Under the direction of Audio Solutions Manager Rick Joyner,
the department will concentrate its efforts on gaining an understanding
of key issues faced by A-T customers and responding with innovative
solutions to their problems. “Within the Audio Solutions team
exists a vast array of audio experience including live sound, fixed
installation, and studio engineers, musicians, audio component service
technicians, and electrical engineers,” stated Rick Joyner. “It’s
a very broad knowledge base with expertise in venues ranging from stadiums
to houses of worship, and from conference centers to home studios. With
the creation of the Audio Solutions Department, we are now poised to
share this information as a trusted partner, which will ultimately benefit
the market as a whole, along with anyone in a business relationship
with Audio-Technica.”
Another critical function of the Audio Solutions department
will be documenting and communicating the experiences and knowledge
gained from its extensive customer contact to all of A-T’s internal
departments. This comprehensive method of collecting and distributing
information will facilitate the refinement of products and practices,
enabling Audio-Technica to continually evolve with market dynamics.
Through regular visits to the technical groups at potential and existing
customers, the proficient Audio Solutions team will address such issues
as problem solving, education, requirements and evaluations as well
as presentations. Furthermore, while building partnerships with A-T
customers to assist in the sales, design and development of products,
the Audio Solutions department will be able to make suggestions for
solving and preventing future problems, to ensure products perform at
or beyond expectations.
