CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW, LAS VEGAS, NV, January 5, 2006 — Audio-Technica, a leader in the design and manufacturer of consumer and professional microphones, headphones, phono cartridges and accessories for over 40 years, has redesigned the packaging of its popular ATR Series of microphones. The updated point-of-purchase design features a combination of eye-catching blister packs and windowed boxes allowing customers to see the actual products more easily, while providing detailed product specifications and information on available accessories. It also aids retailers by acting as a silent salesperson, offering clear and concise information on intended usage and applications.

The package design implements a cohesive new color scheme found throughout Audio-Technica’s extensive line of microphone and headphone accessories while providing retailers the ability to display the products with an eye-catching space-saving design that won’t take up valuable retail real estate.

“We specifically designed our new ATR packaging based on input from our retail partners with the goal of providing new, visually arresting packaging that stands out on the sales floor,” said Gary Boss, marketing director. “I truly believe that our award-winning graphics department has created a design that retailers will embrace and that will expand Audio-Technica’s presence in the consumer audio market.”

The ATR Series microphones are built to provide cost-effective, high-quality audio solutions in a wide variety of applications for the home and office environment including use with computer soundcards, meeting rooms, speech/vocals, musical instruments and stereo miking for video cameras and portable recorders.
