CELESTION LAUNCHES ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT,
HIGH-PERFORMANCE CDX1-1430 COMPRESSION DRIVER

Press Release Text: Word DOC - RichTextFormat (RTF)

NAMM WINTER SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January 15, 2004 — Celestion, the leading designer and manufacturer of professional loudspeakers and guitar speakers, is exhibiting the latest addition to its range of high-frequency neodymium compression drivers, the CDX1-1430. This model delivers an impressive 50W RMS power with an impedance of 8 Ohms, frequency response of 2-20 kHz, and sensitivity of 108 dB. The compression driver incorporates a visually striking aluminum heat sink carefully designed to rapidly conduct heat away from the magnet, ensuring optimum performance. This has enabled Celestion to achieve the 50W benchmark with a lightweight (approx. 1 lb.) device.

Celestion’s Research & Development engineers utilized their 80 years of experience in loudspeaker design, laser interferometry (the use of lasers to measure mechanical vibrations and study speaker behavior), and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) design techniques to develop this unique compression driver. The result is an extremely lightweight high-performance 1" compression driver that features a Neodymium magnet structure and Aluminum Diaphragm.
