Mark Dodd to
present technical paper at 115th AES Convention —
115th AES CONVENTION, NEW YORK, NY, October 10, 2003
— Celestion, the leading designer and manufacturer
of professional loudspeakers and guitar speakers for the
music industry, including live sound applications and permanent
installations, is pleased to announce it is currently shipping
the recently introduced Truvox, Frontline2, and BL range
of speakers. The announcement was made by Jack Kelly, President
of Group One Ltd., exclusive U.S. distributor for Celestion.
Truvox Speakers
The Truvox range has been designed for professional sound
reinforcement applications requiring accurate, clear performance
such as PA and keyboard amplification. Truvox consists of
17 new models — each developed utilizing the latest
design technology — covering a wide range of sound
reinforcement applications. Truvox offerings start with
a 5" unit for compact enclosures and culminate in a
15" 400 Watt unit. There are dedicated closed back
midrange units, a 12" twin cone, and different power
handling specifications in 6”, 8", 10",
12", and
15" units.
Frontline2
Designed for professional sound reinforcement applications
requiring “upfront performance,” Frontline2
represents the next generation of the popular Frontline
PA speakers from Celestion. Featuring a precision die-cast
aluminum chassis for maximum strength and rigidity, the
new Frontline2 15" and 18" speakers are designed
for mid-bass and extreme bass applications. Each have a
power rating of 700 Watts with a nominal impedance of 8
Ohms, employ a
4" voice coil, and utilize a ceramic magnet structure.
The Frontline2 15" speaker weighs
28.48 lbs., while the 18" has a weight of 34.17 lbs.
BL Neodymium Bass Speakers
Incorporating the latest in Celestion’s loudspeaker
technology, the BL Neo bass speakers feature a Neodymium
magnet structure with extremely low weight (1/3rd the weight
of its nearest conventional equivalent). BL Neo speakers
offer exceptional performance with fast transient response,
and exhibit the extreme clarity that has made Celestion
the standard worldwide for the past four decades. The BL
range includes the BL10-100 Neo (10", 100 Watts), BL10-150
Neo (10", 150 Watts), and BL15-400 Neo (15", 400
Watts). All models employ a Kevlar loaded paper cone for
extended performance.
