CELESTION SET FOR RECORD PRO AUDIO DRIVER SALES

— Successful period of growth for Celestion thanks to clear strategy of customer service —


NAMM WINTER SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January 20, 2005 — Following the introduction of several key new products and a renewed focus on the pro audio chassis market, Celestion International Ltd. has increased OEM sales dramatically in this sector during the first quarter of this financial year (F1 2006).

Growth was demonstrated across the full range of cast chassis product including FTR, ultra-low distortion ceramic magnet drivers, and NTi, inverted neodymium speakers. Sales were increased by 85% in F1 2006 compared with the same period last year (F1 2005).

At the same time, volume sales of CDX compression drivers have seen a year on year sales increase of more than 70%, demonstrating the success of a clear strategy that concentrates on providing the highest level of service for existing customers, while further extending Celestion's customer base.

OEM Sales Manager Kevin Shove stated, “Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers has been instrumental in this outstanding growth in sales volume. By extending this customer-focused approach to the acquisition of new OEM accounts, we envisage sustained growth to achieve our ambitious targets.”

About CDX
The CDX range of high frequency compression drivers consistently yield outstanding performances. Extensive use has been made of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to examine the behavior of sound waves within the compression driver to create a new design topology that produces a more coherent wavefront at the compression driver exit.

About FTR
FTR represents the next generation of Celestion’s premier quality, professional loudspeakers. These high-power, die cast aluminum chassis drivers incorporate a number of innovations that together combine to deliver groundbreaking performance, significantly minimizing distortion and reducing thermal compression. The robust FTR chassis can support the heavyweight magnets required to achieve a high power rating, enabling Celestion to offer first-class sound reinforcement up to 1000W rms and potentially more.

About NTi
The NTi Inverted Neo range were the first ever professional drive units with this level of power handling to incorporate a Neodymium magnet structure. This material produces far stronger field effects than traditional ferrite magnets, so the magnet structure can be made much smaller and lighter while still yielding an extremely impressive frequency response. As a result, NTi speakers exhibit superb detail at an incredibly low weight.
